How did I get here?
Now that I’m in the middle of my Master’s in Content Strategy, I find myself looking back a lot. Because the further I get into this programme, the more I realize how much I already brought with me … and how everything I’ve learned so far has come together and completes the picture.
My background is in design and communication. I studied, I worked and I switched contexts a few times. From an agency to a B2B environment, from Innsbruck to Kufstein and now to Graz.
Why am I here?
Design was where it all started. I learned how to think visually, how layout, color and typography communicate something before anyone reads a single word. That part stayed with me. But at some point I noticed that knowing how to make something look good wasn’t enough. That’s when marketing and communication started to make sense. It gave me a way to think about strategy, audiences and the reasoning behind the work. Working in an agency and later in a B2B context made both of those things concrete.
The Master’s in Content Strategy I’m doing now is where I’m working through all of that properly, connecting the dots. It builds on everything I did before, in a way that really surprised me. Looking back, the path I took makes sense. I didn’t plan this, but I got here through a series of decisions that each made sense at the time and at some point this became the field I was in … and I can see it much more clearly now than I could at the start.
